Budva: With roots in ancient Greek and Roman times, Budva is one of the Adriatic’s oldest settlements. Today, its medieval walls, historic streets and vibrant seaside life create a perfect blend of past and present.

Perast: Once a proud Venetian naval town, Perast rose to prominence through maritime trade and seafaring tradition. Today it charms visitors with elegant baroque palaces and postcard views across the Bay of Kotor.

Kotor: For centuries, Kotor was a strategically fortified port guarding key Adriatic trade routes. Today, its UNESCO‑listed old town captivates with medieval architecture framed by dramatic mountains.

Skadar Lake: Historically a contested frontier dotted with fortresses and monastery islands, Skadar Lake shaped regional history. Today it is a protected natural sanctuary, celebrated for its wildlife, tranquillity and scenic waterways.

Lovcen National Park: Lovćen has long symbolised Montenegrin statehood and national identity. Today it combines cultural heritage with breathtaking mountain landscapes and panoramic viewpoints.

Day 1: ARRIVAL TIVAT/PODGORICA – BUDVA (65km – 1.5hrs)

Upon arrival at Tivat or Podgorica Airport, transfer to your hotel, and the rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 2: BUDVA – SVETI STEFAN - PETROVAC – BUDVA (50km – 2hrs)

The day begins with a walk through Budva, one of the oldest towns on the Adriatic coast. Between Venetian walls, narrow streets, and small squares, the Mediterranean atmosphere of the historic old town unfolds. Along the coastal road, there is a view of the world-famous island of Sveti Stefan, Montenegro’s landmark. Once a fishing village, today it is a luxury resort and one of the country’s most iconic photo spots. A stop is also made at the peaceful Reževići Monastery, beautifully located above the sea, known for its stone architecture and serene atmosphere. The day ends in the coastal town of Petrovac, known for its red sandy beach, pine forests, and old fortress walls. Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 3: BUDVA – TIVAT – PERAST – KOTOR – BUDVA (180km – 4.5hrs)

A day full of natural and cultural highlights along the Bay of Kotor, often called the southernmost fjord in Europe. First stop is Tivat, a modern marina town with Porto Montenegro, a luxury yacht harbor and international meeting point. Continue to Perast, a baroque gem with Venetian palaces and waterfront charm. From here, enjoy views of the islands St. George and Our Lady of the Rocks, both surrounded by legend and tradition. In the afternoon, arrival in Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by massive walls and mountains, the medieval old town features Venetian palaces, St. Tryphon Cathedral, and narrow cobblestone streets. Free time to explore the old town before returning to Budva.

Day 4: BUDVA – ADA BOJANA – ULCINJ – SKADAR LAKE – BUDVA (220km –5hrs)

Drive to southern Montenegro, to Ada Bojana, a unique river island at the mouth of the Bojana River. Known for its untouched beaches, pine forests, and wild natural beauty. Continue to Ulcinj, one of the oldest towns on the Adriatic coast, with strong oriental influence, mosques, and a historic hilltop old town. In the afternoon, visit Skadar Lake, the largest lake in the Balkans and a protected national park. Enjoy a boat cruise across the lake, passing reed beds, water lilies, and small monastery islands, including the former prison island Grmožur, known as the “Montenegrin Alcatraz”.

Day 5: BUDVA – CETINJE – LOVĆEN NATIONAL PARK – NJEGUŠI – BUDVA(120km – 3.5hrs)

Drive into the mountainous interior to Cetinje, the historic royal capital of Montenegro. The town reflects the country’s political and cultural heritage, with former embassies, monasteries, and the former Royal Palace. Continue to Lovćen National Park, with a visit to the Njegoš Mausoleum on Jezerski Peak (1,657 m), offering breathtaking panoramic views over the entire country. Stop in the village of Njeguši, famous for its traditional smoked ham (Njeguški pršut). Return to the hotel via scenic mountain roads.

Day 6: BUDVA – TITO’S MOUNTAIN RAILWAY – BUDVA (390km –8hrs)

Today's highlight is a scenic ride on the famous Tito Railway from Bar. The train passes through dramatic mountains, deep gorges, and impressive viaducts, showcasing Montenegro’s wild landscapes. Arrival in Kolašin, a charming mountain town in northern Montenegro. On the return, visit the Morača Monastery, a 13th-century Orthodox monastery located above a deep canyon, famous for its beautiful frescoes and peaceful setting.

Day 8: BUDVA – DEPARTURE TIVAT/PODGORICA (65km – 1.5hrs)

Enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel and at the agreed time transfer to Tivat or Podgorica Airport for your return flight.


Pack comfortable walking shoes, as the tour includes city sightseeing and walks in national parks. Bring light, breathable clothing for warm days and a light jacket for cooler evenings or boat trips. Sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen is essential. A small day backpack, refillable water bottle, and camera are recommended, along with swimwear for coastal stops.
