Villa Era is famous not only for its history and architectural beauty, but also for the production of high quality wine. The surrounding vineyards benefit from privileged soil, composed of sandy clay, gravel and marl with marine fossils, which gives the grapes a unique character. Here, mainly Nebbiolo grapes are grown, enriched by Croatina, Vespolina and Barbera, giving life to refined and delicious wines.
For nearly three decades, Villa Era has been the home of two non-profit organizations, Eubiotica and ICARE, engaged in pioneering research in organic farming, nutrition, herbal medicine, beekeeping, Yoga and Ayurveda. Conferences and workshops with international experts, scholars, teachers and practitioners have been organized here.
